In this section, we talk about some of the unconventional or alternative rental strategies that are out there. We’re going to be covering furnished midterm rentals, short-term rentals, as well as converting your own primary into a rental. As all three of these strategies might not necessarily just involve purchasing a property, placing a long term tenant, and watching the rent checks come in.

These tend to be a little bit more active depending on how you set them up. They could be just as passive as the long term rental strategy but they’re just a little bit different and so wanted to take the time to discuss what they are what some of the benefits and downsides are to pursuing one of these strategies as well as just some basic high level things to be aware of.
